IN-MOULD TECHNOLOGY
In-mould technology is used to produce lightweight helmets with a high level of protection. Helmets with in-mould technology have a thin outer shell made of polycarbonate which is fused to a shock-absorbing EPS (expanded polystyrene) liner during the manufacturing process. This process ensures there are no gaps between the shell and liner therefore preventing separation. Because the outer shell is fused directly to the liner, multiple vents can be added providing improved air flow and comfort. The polycarbonate shell improves transfer and distribution of impact forces that are absorbed by the deformation of the EPS liner.
CE APPROVED EN 1078:2012+A1:2012

EN1078 is a European standard regarding testing methods and requirements for "cycling, skateboarding, and skating" helmets. This standard covers the following aspects: construction, including field of vision, shock absorption properties, retention system features including the chinstrap and tightening devices, and marking and information.
